Sales Manager

The New Business Development and Sales Manager is ultimately accountable for setting & achieving the established growth targets for the GLDC LLC services portfolio as well as directing promotion, marketing, and communications relating to the product line.  The position is a champion of the customer. This position drives the field sales force and internal resources to guarantee the success of growth programs from directing the sales team on discover tactics, initial inquiries, project development through first production release.  The New Business Development and Sales Manager will help guide the creation of new solutions from existing platforms and advise on new service development based on industry experience and customer and market requirements.  The position must establish the strategic vision for the product line and drive to make the vision a reality.  The New Business Development and Sales Manager will frequently travel to accounts to understand customers motion needs and help deliver innovative solutions.

The New Business & Development Manager must excel at communication and team building within all areas of the business.  The position will be the internal and external leader for the product family; closely directing product line management, engineering, manufacturing, field sales to maximize the product line’s growth potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus on product line growth through Growth Funnel opportunities – Drive programs through prioritizing and accelerating them to completion
• Establish overall service line strategy
• Direct internal resources to maximize service line performance against established goals
• Steer the ervice development process by translating customers motion needs into product innovations such as performance, attributes, features, options, complimentary services, costs and time-lines
• Establish new service / new application launch demands to meet business unit and / or customer requirements
• Manage the roll out of new service launches
• Facilitate training for assigned service families
• Mentor Sales in developing key account strategies
• Lead sales colleagues to target market opportunities in support of existing or new products
• Creates the long term strategic plan for the services
o Establishes PR and Ad Campaigns
o Oversees SEM to include AdWords, SEO, social media and other online campaigns
o Selects tradeshow participation that will most benefit GLDC growth potential

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• The GLDC Sales & New Business Development Director will report to the Owners
• Supervises employees as assigned

Position Requirements

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ten+ years of experience in the marketing/sales
• Demonstrated success and experience in strategic leadership of marketing and business
development
• Ability to work effectively in global cross functional teams
• Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
• Excellent communicator and critical thinker
• Hands-on, practical, willing to grow to further responsibility
